The Doctoral Research Support Program is piloting a consultation service that seeks to raise awareness of AI applications that could be used as tools in academic research. We want to empower students to navigate the ever-changing and exciting landscape of AI applications. This service is aimed at doctoral and master’s degree students in different disciplines and academic training. We can meet with you one-on-one to explore AI applications and suggest strategies to incorporate them in the research process. Although we cannot provide technical support to develop or customize AI applications, we can work with you to identify resources and expertise across campus and beyond the University of Illinois.
The DRSP will provide the following:
- Support for general queries through email;
- One-on-one consultation to connect students with relevant AI applications and resources for short-term and long-term research projects;
- Training workshops that empower doctoral students to feel more comfortable with utilizing AI tools in their research.
